Unlock your creativity and get lost in the meditative art of wax carving.
 
In this workshop you will learn the technique of wax carving and craft a beautifully unique ring using jeweller's wax.
 
Throughout the class, you'll learn about the ancient art of lost wax casting and use a selection of  tools to carve beautiful shapes and textures into the wax.
 
After the workshop, your wax model will be cast into sterling silver and posted back to you. You can also choose to add gold vermeil for £25 (This can be arranged on the day). Creating sustainable jewellery is at the heart of my practice and I will only use casters that cast in recycled metals.
 
What you will learn:
 
– How to create simple designs for wax carving
– How to carve jewellery wax
– The history of the ancient technique of wax carving
 
Your silver ring will be carefully finished and polished by me in my little studio in Leamington Spa. This will then be gift wrapped and posted to you. 
 
This workshop will be held in the beautiful Forrest Coffee House; a gorgeous space in the heart of Kenilworth. They will provide hot drinks and there will be a selection of their delicious, in-house baked goodies.
